GEORGIA MAY JAGGER a rising star

Elite Model Georgia May Jagger, the youngest daughter of rockstar Mick Jagger and model Jerry Hall, recently shot an ad campaign for the denim company Hudson Jeans which has caused quite a bit of controversy since Georgia is only 17. The shoot by Mario Sorrenti, the former boyfriend of Kate Moss, features Georgia topless with a guest appearance by her boyfriend Django James. Django, the son of Dave Stewart from the Eurythmics, is 18 and is a future rockstar in his own right.

Personally, she is one of my favorite rising stars and I think she is gorgeous! Is she too young to do ads like these or do you think it's o.k.? What age do you think is old enough? Leave a comment, I'd love to hear your opinions! :)

Basso & Brooke Resort 2010 Color Splash

When I first saw pieces from the Basso & Brooke Resort 2010 collection, I though to myself, "Yes! This is exactly the wave of the future! Clothing that's bursting with color yet totally sophisticated and wearable at the same time." Now I have to give credit where credit is due, I was first mesmerized by Basso & Brooke while reading Couture Carrie, one of my all time favorite fashion blogs! I gravitated to this collection and had to investigate! :)

Welcome To Future Hippie!

Since this is my first post on Future Hippie, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite pics from my inspiration folder and give you a quick idea of what's in store.

My name is Cara Mia. Some of you may know me from my blog Hippie Couture which focuses on fashion, art, music and culture from the 1960's and 70's, and how it relates to today's trends. While still giving a nod to the past, Future Hippie is more about the "nouveau hippies" and the trendsetters of the future.

The next generation is bright and all about color and individuality! It's about self acceptance, expressing yourself through your creative endeavors and being kind to others. The future is fun! And this is what I hope to share with you though this blog. :)
